Fractional CIO & AI Integration — Seattle
Somebody asked you what we should do about AI.
We answer that for a living.
Two ways in: a fractional CIO when nobody owns the technology decision, and AI integration when the decision is made and it has to work against the systems you already run. Built on infrastructure you own, in accounts held in your name.
We take no margin on any platform we recommend — which is why we can tell you the honest answer about what to buy.
Two ways to work with us
Deciding what to do, and then doing it
Most companies come to us at one of two points: nobody owns the technology decision, or the decision is made and it has to be built into systems that already exist. Those are different engagements, so they are different pages.
Fractional CIO
A senior technology executive part-time, owning strategy, the roadmap, and the buy-versus-build calls. Month to month, no minimum. Month one is an assessment you can hand to a board.
How the fractional CIO engagement works →AI integration
Choosing what to build, then connecting it to the CRM, ERP, phone system and document stores you already run — on infrastructure you own. We take no margin on any platform we recommend.
What AI integration actually involves →How we work, in four commitments
No markup
On any platform we recommend
Your accounts
Held in your name, always
Month to month
No minimum term
Your data
Never rests on our systems
The problem, as people actually describe it
The tasks that eat the most time are the ones that matter the least. Sound familiar?
Missed Calls & Voicemail
Every unanswered call is a lost customer. Voicemail boxes fill up. Callbacks happen too late — or not at all.
Copy-Paste Reporting
Pulling data from five systems into one spreadsheet, every single week.
Unbooked Appointments
Callers who wanted to book hang up instead. Leads go cold. Appointments that should have been scheduled never happen.
Where this usually helps
Grouped by the job to be done — each one built and operated on the tools you already run.
Build agents
AI agent development & workflow automation
Turn repetitive manual work — ticket intake, routing, reporting, back-office steps — into AI agents that run 24/7. We get pilots into production, not just demos.
How we deliver: custom agents low-code on n8n or written in code, wired into the systems you already run — and operated in production.
Talk to customers
AI voice & chat agents
Answer calls and messages, qualify, route and book — on the platform you already run, in your brand voice, with a clean handoff to a human when it matters.
How we deliver: voice agents integrated into the calling platform you already run.
Find answers
AI knowledge assistants
Answers grounded in your own docs — not the open internet. Internal knowledge your team actually searches, and customer-facing chat that resolves instead of deflecting.
How we deliver: docs-grounded assistants (RAG), with a local-model option for sensitive data.
How we deliver — named, running systems
Not slideware. Every solution above is powered by a system we run in our own business first.
How an engagement runs
Three steps. No disruption. Continuous improvement.
Assess
We assess what you run, what condition the data is in, and where AI would genuinely help.
Implement
We build and integrate it in your environment, on accounts held in your name.
Manage
We operate it, keep the plan current, and tell you when something should change.
Built by an operator, not a startup.
We do not sell systems. We sell the judgement about what to build and the labour to build it — on tools you buy yourself, in accounts you hold. We run this way in our own business first, which is why the advice is worth something.
Run in our own operation
We run this work in our own business before recommending it.
Enterprise Infrastructure Expertise
We know where an AI project meets your security review, and we scope for it.
Infrastructure engineering
Years of hands-on network, systems, and infrastructure experience across mid-market and enterprise environments.
Your Data Stays Yours

No Lock-In
You own everything we build. No lock-in, ever.

Common Questions
Real answers to the things buyers actually ask.
Two things. A fractional CIO engagement when nobody owns the technology decision, and AI integration when the decision is made and it has to work against the systems you already run. Everything else we do sits underneath one of those two.
Usually with an assessment: what you run, what condition the data is in, where AI would genuinely help, and what has to be true first. It ends in a written document you can hand to a CFO or a board without translating it. You can buy that on its own, or it is what the first month of a retainer produces.
No. You open the vendor accounts in your own name and pay the vendors directly at what they actually charge. We take no margin on licences, seats or model usage. It is the first thing worth asking anyone advising you on AI, including us — if the answer is a percentage, weigh the advice accordingly.
You do. We build and operate inside your environment, the accounts are yours, and client data does not rest on our systems. If the engagement ends, the systems keep running, because they were never ours to switch off.
We quote per engagement and do not publish a rate card. What drives the number is how many systems are involved, what condition the data is in, how many people have to agree, and whether anything is load-bearing on day one. How we scope and quote explains it properly.
ChatGPT will give you a plausible answer to almost any question and no way to tell whether it is right for your company. It has not seen your systems, your data, your contracts, or the politics of who has to agree. The work is knowing which plausible option survives contact with what you already run.
Often those are different jobs. A good IT team keeps the company running; a CIO decides what it should be running in two years and defends that to the board. If your IT lead already sets strategy and the board trusts it, you do not need us and we will say so.
No. We are based in Seattle and work nationwide. Onsite where it is genuinely useful around Puget Sound; everything else works fine remotely.
